Techtonic and Editions debrief
You know that song that goes “around the world, around the world” by Daft Punk titled, Around the World? That song seems kinda perfect for what we experienced last week, as does the video! Please promise me you’re going to take a moment to watch it! Please.
Today is a free episode as I want anyone and everyone to have access to the debrief on last week’s festivities.
Before we get into it, I want to share a personal note to those who took time out of their day to approach me at TechTonic or Editions. This is for you.
From the bottom of my heart, and I mean this with ten toes down, your words of encouragement, praise, and adoration mean more to me than you will ever know. I come off like a tough girl, but deep down I am a huge softy, and each time you waited to talk to me or walked up to me to let me know that you like the newsletter or the work that I do, it touched my heart and soul in ways that will fuel me for the entire year. You didn't have to do that. The first time it happened felt surreal. The last time it happened, I was talking to Coralie in front of the doors leading into the event space on Friday at 6:30 pm as I was heading out to end the week. I swore you were waiting to talk to Coralie, cuz obviously she's amazing. But to my surprise, you just wanted to pay me a compliment. That was so so so nice of you - thank you. I am truly humbled and grateful for those moments. Thank you to everyone so kind enough to do that. I often talk about how words matter and to reach out to someone to tell them how much they mean to you, but I never think about myself in that context. Having it happen to me multiple times makes me feel like I have done something right in the world. You are a special kind of person to do that, and I appreciate it so much.
