Last week, I had the extreme pleasure of spending time with the wonderful Coralie who was visiting from France. She was on a 12-day holiday with some friends and I was lucky enough to steal some of her time. 🤩
It reminded me how much I miss seeing the Shopify community in real life. If you’re in Miami, planning a trip to Miami, think about Miami lol, let me know as I would love to meet up with you. I have been known to buy my Shopifriends a slice of Joe’s pizza in my neighborhood.
Outside of that, I am also down to do some virtual meetup type things so let me know if you want a virtual hang out soon.
App Spotlight
In this week's app spotlight, I want to call out something I saw with an app trending on the app store this week.
I am a sucker for good app listing copy. So, I often check out the trending apps to see what people like about them. To my surprise, I was taken aback by what I read. It was a pure rip-off of another upsell app called Monster Upsell. Shout out to Monster, who did nothing wrong here.
It's not like Monster ranks particularly high on the app store, so I wonder why they are trying to leverage their brand equity. But I absolutely hate when apps play these games. So today, I am giving flowers to Monster simply because someone is being shady by using their name in their app copy.
